Would you be interested in both? That means keeping the new "RIbbon" menus, but adding in the older style "Menu toolbar" like it was in Office 2003 and before.

If you are not sure, have a look at the images in http://www.howtogeek.com/80100/how-to-bring-back-the-old-menus-in-office-2007-2/ and see what you think.

The link to the UBitMenu utility used there is at the bottom of the page.

Classic Menus by Addintools works well and I've used it for

The other option might be to add your commonly used commands to the Quick Access Toolbar....that can help a lot too.
