Opening Apple Attachment

I have Windows 7 at work. One of our clients has an Apple computer and sent me an attachment which I can not open. Is there a program I can download onto my computer so that I can open the attachment he sent? At the end of what he called the attachment it has .numbers.

I thought Open Office would open the attachment so I downloaded it but that did not work.

I appreciate any assistance you can give me.

That's from iWork. Ask the sender to save it in Excel format for you and to send you that.
