CardScan.net

I have been a loyal CardScan user ever since the product was launched. I have even spoke very highly of this product from the very beginning right up to just before the holiday. I showed it to many at a sales sight I was at in California. NOW for a lack of another word DYMO the parent company has me and many others very pissed off. CardScan works by allowing you to upload all your data files to their website CardScan.net for safe keeping and also so you can use your files anywhere and also sync up to other computers as in a team effort. THEY SHUT DOWN THE SITE ENDING THE LAST DAY OF 2011 WITHOUT ANY NOTICE. THEY INSIST THEY CONTACTED ALL REGISTERED USERS. WELL I WAS NOT CONTACTED AND MANY OTHERS I KNOW USING THE PRODUCT WERE NOT EITHER. AS A MATTER OF FACT THEY DID NOT KNOW UNTIL I TOLD THEM. I used the system as follows. I would make a seperate file for the contacts on each project we worked on. I have over a hundred seperate files. I keep the most current ones on my laptop but relied on their service for the storage of all the others. With them closing the service it has left not only me but many other loosing all of their client data. I would think that a company like DYMO would understand the importance of customer satisfaction. They told me they are thinking of ways to bring back the services at a cost. WELL WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO UNTIL THEN????
Need as many people as possible rattling their chain.
CNET even has done many stories on how great this service is.....Just as I have for many years.....But now with their whole attitude of we advised everyone WHICH THEY DID'NT is bull. As I told them, If you truly wanted to announce it you could have made a small program change so when your cardscan logged into the service through the program it would pop up a splash screen warning that the service would be discontinued. That would have been very easy to do.
