(Re)Making Excel the Default Spreadsheet Program
by flingwing - 8/15/10 4:56 AM
On a WinXP machine, I'm running Excel 2007 and recently added Corel WordPerfect Suite X5.
Without knowing it, and certainly without approving it myself, WP's Quattro Pro spreadsheet program made itself the *default* program for all types of spreadsheet files.
Question: How can I stop Quattro Pro from being the default spreadsheet program or, alternatively, returning MS Excel as the default program.
Thanks for any help.

Special Note to Programmers of Large Suites: there will be a special place in hell for all you guys who make your programs load as a default program without asking purchasers what they want to do. I've heard that place in hell is especially large to accommodate your oversize egos. For you guys, alone: don't necessarily have a good day <grin>.
