Office & productivity software forum: Different header on every page (word)

Can you provide more information on what you are trying to do? What type of information are you changing on the top of each page?

As entrecon explained below, it's not pages that are revised with a certain revision number and on a certain date, but a document.

Try: use the main document + subdocument construction. Each subdocument can have its own revision data in its header, and still the document can be printed as a whole, with each page having its own header.

Somehow, this looks more like a database than a document. Why not use a real database (like MS Access) with each record containing all the data (including revision number and datetime) for one printed page. Such can be filled automatically.

I have read the page and what comes in my mind is:
On page 4:
{If {PAGE}=''4'' ''My header 4''}

On page 5:
{If {PAGE}=''5'' ''My header 5''}
etc

What I was looking for was something that would do this automatically because I have 5 documents with about 145 pages in total.

I am not exactly sure what is trying to be accomplished here. Do you want to know when each page was revised? That is impossible since text moves between pages as you make changes.

Either you ar trying to make this harder than it is or we are missing something. Can you tell us more what this document is and exactly you want in the header?
