How to change font size on labels

I frequently need just a single mailing label. When I type the information into the label window, it always appears in the same font and size.

I wanted it to show up larger and bolder, so I typed the address on a new page in Word, using Times New Roman, size 16, bold. When copying and pasting this address into the label window, it reverts back to what seems to be a default setting of Times New Roman size 12 - no bold.

Is there a way for me go get the label to look the way I would like it to look?
I don't see an option to do that, such as one can change the font, its size and appearance for addresses that appear on an envelope.

I forgot to say that I use Word 2000, WinXP and have a Dell Dimension4300S

Sorry, but I don't understand. I'm sure it's my fault due to my limited knowledge of MS Word. When I had to make labels, it was at least a page, and I used a table for that with the right settings for row height and column width. But you obviously mean something different. Can you explain? If you can find a tutorial on the subject in google, please provide a link for still greater clarity.
I'm sure help will come. But I would like to understand the answer and then it helps to understand the question.

Label window

Hi, Kees
when I need a single label, I click on Tools in Word and scroll down to envelopes and labels.
I then choose labels and there is an option of an entire page or a single label.
After I select the single label option, a ''label window'' (my term) pops up where I type in the address.
This is where I do not seem to have any options to customize the label font, size, bold, etc.
English is my second language, so I do the best I can in trying to get across what my problem is. I hope the above explanation clears things up.
I will keep checking and post here what I find regarding this.

and with my other question on margins set outside the printing area.

When creating lables and require to change the ''Font'' Style/Size ,
After you typed in your characters = ''Select'' the charaters = right click on the ''Selection'' = from within the ''Dropdown Menu'' = click on ''Font'' = and then you will be presented with the ''Font Dialog Box = From within you will be able to adust same to your requirments

I never thought of right clicking at all; will try this as soon as I'll need another label (tomorrow).
