Two work-arounds and one possible solution

Ledzepe,

1. For the text you don't want to print select a style. Then write a macro that sets that style to a white colored font, then prints the document, then resets the style to what it was.

2. Make a data-entry form in MS Access. Then make a report with only the filled-in fields (and possibly some constants as the current date or the users name), coupled to a 'print' button on the data-entry form.

3. This is for Word 97. Tools>Options>Print, check "Only print data in forms". It says it's only valid for the current document, and I don't know if it's saved. So you might need a small macro to activate it. But it's easier than #1, in my opinion.

Printing to pre-printed form solution

I too needed to print the filled in content of a Word form on to pre printed forms. In the end I gave up because:

a) It involved writing macros so only filled in content was printed.
b) After aligning the Word form so the printed content aligned correctly for one printer, it did not align for another!

In the end I gave up with Word and went with a "proper" form designer application called InForm Designer. Using it allowed me to print just the filled in form content (while the onscreen form looked like the pre printed form). It also allowed me to specify and save printer offsets so printed form content always aligned perfectly on any pritner.
