Roaming profiles don't roam ?

I am managing a Windows NT domain , a users changed the desktop settings and when he switched to other machine , the change doesn't appear there . I am quite sure his profile is a roaming one . And , he should be in a group (in System Policy) that it would save the settings at logoffs . What are the possible causes ? And how to fix it ?

check in the USRMGR if the user has an assigned directory for roaming profiles on the PDC, check on the user's main computer if the profile is indeed registered as roaming or not, because sometimes when reconfiguring from standard to roaming, something goes awry and NT will not roam it.

On the user's main computer , if the profile (located at "C:\WINNT\Profiles\%UserName%" )has the Ntuser.dat file but not the Ntuser.man file , doesn't it mean the profile is indeed registered as roaming ?
