Passwords in Win2k

I recently had a employee leave the business..I provided him with a notebook computer with win2k on it...anyway i dont have his password and under the circumstances the xemployee wont give it to us...so my question is can i get past this and get into the hard drive...the hard drive is in NTFS format...??

1. Just boot a KNOPPIX CD to get at the files and back. I helped others craft a web page about it at http://tips.oncomputers.info/archives2004/0401/2004-Jan-11.htm

2. Really "need" to run Windows 2000 and break in?
Pay the fee. http://www.lostpassword.com

Note: There are free solutions, but given that such are not without risk, I can't mention them.

I would just do a clean install of the OS. You never know what he put on it that you don't want.
