Managing huge updates with wireless connection

I have a number of Macs connected together and to the Internet via a wireless connection (no landline available). My contract has a maximum of 3Gbyte per month of data upload/download which is plenty if not for these humongous updates that Apple keeps pushing down my throat (last iMovie: 1.9 GB, incredible). I made sure that nothing gets updated automatically of course, but I still have on the app store this long list of downloads (iMovie, iPhoto, ITunes, etc etc etc) just waiting. Some Macs are shared and I would like to make sure that *nobody* downloads these by mistake wiping out a monthly data bandwidth.
Is there a way to just *delete* them from the store?
Thank you very much!
