2nd hand Powermac with old admin passwords... need help!

I just recently purchased a 2nd hand Powermac off ebay and too my horror still has all the admin passwords in it locking me out of all the settings so the computer is practically useless to me without formatting.
Somehow I think the people I got it from were dodgy as all other info has been erased except these passwords.

I don't really want to format if I don't have to and I don't think single user mode is accessable via a windows keyboard plus to make matters worse i don't have any discs either so that way is out of the question.

Is there any hope of getting rid of this damn password or will I just have to bite he bullet and get OS discs and new software?

get back with the original buyers on eBay and asking for the passwords.

One wonders how you know that "all other info has been erased except these passwords" if you are unable to get past the login screen.

Purchasing items on eBay, and especially those purchased with PayPal, gives you certain rights, one of which is getting your money back.
