Why won't my Mac allow uploads to CMS?

I am having some trouble uploading files from my Mac to a CMS.

I can upload files successfully when I am using a PC, so there is no problem with my user profile or settings/permissions, however when it comes to using my Mac (OS X 10.5.8) the files don't seem to want to upload. I have tried multiple browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox), but nothing fixes it.

When I try to upload my file, the process works up until I click UPLOAD. The CMS site seems to be attempting to upload, and it displays "All files uploaded successfuly". However, a thumbnail of the file is meant to display once uploaded, and this doesn't happen. I then look for my file in the library, and it is not there.

My colleague who is also using Mac doesn't seem to have this problem though. She is using a newer OS X (10.6.8). I wonder if this makes a difference?

Does anyone have suggestions on why this may be happening? Is it a browser setting? Is it my OS X? Java or Flash related? Any help would be much appreciated!

But as I read http://www.opencms.org/en/news/111116-opencms-v803-releasenotes.html and other CMS systems it appears that what you are seeing does happen.

You'll have to ask your CMS provider to see what version they are at and if there is a known fix.

I have attempted to contact our CMS support, though they are very inefficient with getting back to me which is a whole different story. Hence why I am seeking advice happy

And I can't find which CMS (system or provider it is) there's not much hope here. EXCEPT to go old school and upload it with FTP just like we have done for decades.
