Mac OS X forum: How do I decline/reject a pending update from the App Store?

Thank you for the hint.
After getting rid of iTunes 11 (a real drag, you can't just dump it or reinstall the old version, you must return the whole system to its prior state) Appstore nags with update proposals and you have to stay alert not to click the wrong one.
Now I feel safe from Apples wonderful updates.

There are 2 parts to the update

There are 2 parts to the update. One concerns Airport, which I do not use, nor do I ever intend to use. The other is an update for Camera Raw adding cameras that I do not own, and therefore would have no need for. Of course, Apple has no way of knowing this.
Right-clicking the update button only hides the internal levels of the update, it does not reset the alert.
