Mb Air 256Gbi7/6 weeks old got that hot I could not touch it

and drained the 95% charged battery in 10 to 15 minutes. Genius? bar fix was- replace battery, with emails disappearing while reading them, getting hot and closing itself down, to many problems to list here. Now after four Erases and reinstalls and 14 months later and over 100 calls to apple care and plenty of visits to the Genius Bar, I still have iMail not working, sluggish machine, closing down, overheating constantly having nothing going but youtube.
Could there be a Hardware problem that Apple care geniuses are missing. Please HELP!

keep all the case numbers they give you and ignore the Genius Bar.

Call Apple and give them all the case numbers and insist, politely, that this case be escalated.

Keep going until you get a result.

I agree with mrmacfixit. The other thing to try is to ask the phone tech or the genius how many service calls are necessary before Apple deems the machine a "lemon" and simply replaces it. A few years ago I had an iMac with recurring breakdowns. When Apple proposed replacing the logic board a second time, I asked (politely) for a replacement and they gave me one. The replacement was trouble-free. Good luck
