Snow Leopard & clock problem

I just had to have my HD and logic board replaced on my mac mini and now the clock on my desktop is stuck on April 30 at 3:15. My clock in preferences is right. How do I get my desktop to show the correct time and date? I'm not very good with these puters so need some simple steps. Thanks.
