Can you scan slides with 10.7 Image Capture?

Hello,

my mum has an Epson Perfecion 1240U scanner which has a special function for scanning slides. She uses 10.5 and scanning slides is supported by the Epson software. She's thinking about upgrading to 10.7, the Epson webpage says Image Capture will support the scanner, but not the original Epson software. From what I've read on the web, the Image Capture scanning software appears to be good. I wonder, though, about scanning slides. Is it possible? Anyone? Experiences?

Advice would be great!

Image Capture is adequate for scanning slides

but I would suggest, from personal experience, that you purchase a copy of VueScan.

It will give you all the scanner functionality that the Epson software did and I'm sure you will have no problems with it.

You will find it at http://www.hamrick.com/#download

It has a free demo version, which is fully functional, so take it for a test run.
