Mac Networking Trouble - Slow Connection to One Server

Hello, I have a Windows based domain/network (pcs/servers) with three Mac computers connected to it. One user has a mac book pro that in the past month grinds to a crawl when he attempts to connect to the companies file server. It used to work fine, and continues to navigate the network and connect to other computers on the network. It's just that one server that it takes forever to open/copy/etc. files from.

I'm not much of a mac networking expert, thus I'm reaching out to those that may be able to shed some light.

I ran into this recently and they had installed an antivirus and once we removed that, it speed backup.

It also can depend on the browser and the user's knowledge of cleaning the browser cache and much more.
