I have a .temp.mp4 file on mac desktop that will not delete

I hope somebody can help I am new to Mac, I have a file 108207.temp.mp4 on my mac mini server (lion) desktop that I can't move / open / or put in the trash. How do I get rid of the file?

Reboot and try again.

If that fails, Get Info on the file and see if it is locked.

If it is, unlock it.

Let us know what happens

With using the server as a mail server I didn't like to re-boot but it worked, many thanks
