Hard Drive is filling up on it's own

I have a new IMAC 27" running OS 10.6.5. I woke up this morning and i was greeted with "Your hard drive is full. I immediately looked for culprits that I know about like Techtool safety net archives and could not find a problem there. I cleared a bunch of junk off and it is still happening. I run virus barrier and it has detected no problems.
sys info is as follows;

Try turning off Virus Barrier

Not sure if that creates backups but it sure isn't doing anything else to help you.
