Why is Flash so unreliable?

It seems to come and go with the wind. I've loaded, reloaded, clean loaded, tried everything to get it to work right. For awhile, embedded videos would redirect me to YouTube. Now that Apple has scrubbed Flash clean of insecurities, I can't get it to run at all. This is a joke, right?

I have 10.6.5 on a Macbook Pro.

Flash is quite old with versions from how many years ago. Those that create Flash content have to pay for the dev tools so they may lag on old tools and new stuff may have new stuff.

Now you see the seeds of a problem. The player tries to accomodate old and new content and does badly at times.

Maybe it's time for them to do an Apple reset and drop support for their ][c model?
