Print Preview now lights off Adobe Acrobat

When I was using Leopard and I hit "Print" I'd click the Preview button on the bottom left and Apple's "Preview.app" would open the document to be printed (with a Cancel & Print button at the bottom of the dialog box).

Now in Snow Leopard, when I choose to see the finished product before I print, I click on "Preview" and Adobe Acrobat opens the item I want to print (which does not have a Cancel or Print button available).

Does anyone know how to re-set the "Preview" option back to Apple's "Preview.app" program?

2008 iMac, 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, Mac OS X (10.6.1)

Some find they need to remove and install some applications for features to come back.

Preview and Acrobat Reader

When viewing the item you want to print, Print Preview, the OS turns the output into a PDF document.
Without Acrobat Reader installed, the Preview application is the default for viewing PDF documents.
When you installed AR, you missed the option to NOT allow AR to be the default applications for PDF files. Consequently, whenever you launch a PDF, and this includes print preview document, AR will launch.
Ways to fix it:
Find a PDF document on your computer, click it and Get Info. Command + I or right click and choose from the menu.
In the Default application section, choose Preview and then check the "Open all files of this type with this application" (Words to that effect.

That should solve your problem

I did as you suggested and things are now back to normal. Thanks.

One note though. While running Leopard (10.5.9) everything worked as normal. Once I upgraded to Snow Leopard (10.6), the Preview button in the Print dialog starting using Acrobat Reader. I had installed Acrobat years ago.
