How to connect to iTunes store w/o iTunes.app?

I never use iTunes itself but many times while editing or opening music files, or by mistake, iTunes suddenly takes over and commandeers the files into and opens up iTunes;
I find this so annoying that I got rid of iTunes;
So is there a direct URL link without needing iTunes installed?

OR else set a default app setting to open music files by app (none of which are from iTunes)

i dont see an 'edit' button
should read:

Sound Studio-since i use to edit most music for video
Maybe MPEG streamclip
