App trashing problems

I have tried to delete a few applications from my harddrive since upgrading to Snow Leopard. When I drag or send an app to the trash it immediately bounces back or reestablishes itself in the same location. I have noticed that a lot of the apps are locked in the Get Info pane. Unlocking makes no difference whether I can delete or not...even with an administrator password.

Any ideas or suggestions? I'd appreciate whatever help can be offered.

Can you send other files to the trash and delete them properly?

Is your account administrative or standard? Please check in the accounts prefpane of system preferences. You might like to create a new account with admin privileges (allow the account to administer the computer) and see if this works. If yes, something may be wrong with your main account and then software check should be done with DU, DiskWarrior, Onyx, etc.

App deletion

Thanks for your responses. I have run disk permission repair several times and it shows no problems or corrupt files since upgrading to SL. I am able to trash files; the problem is mostly with application deletions. I unlock the app file in the Get Info box and still it returns.

locked applications?

What apps are these? If an app is locked it could be part of system software and should not be deleted.
