SL and syncing

My computer seems to have forgotten how to sync since upgrading to Snow Leopard. Itunes crashes during sync and I get an error that Syncing is not available on the computer. Also finder crashes if I try to access the sync button in the menu bar.

try resetting sync services

Go to the MobileMe system preferences and select "Sync". Then click "Advanced..." and hold the options key to reveal the "Reset Sync History" option. Click that and continue.

Does this happen if you create another user account? If not, then go to the account where it does crash and remove the com.apple.systemuiserver.plist file from your preferences folder (/username/Library/Preferences/), and restarting your system.
