If you have lost the ability to print to a network connected printer, try this advice from Tom Healy:

Print a SelfTest/Configuration page
The second page, under Protocol Information should list TCP/IP status as Ready and list the IP address of the printer as configured by DHCP.
Go to Print & Fax and click on the Add button.
Choose IP with the HP JetDirect-Socket.
Enter the IP address you found above. If the computer finds the printer, it will automatically select the network printer.
Add the printer.
Then, open the print queue and run a test page.
