Joystick to mouse/keyboard?

I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick that I would like to use to play Quake Live on the Mac. The joystick's documentation says it is Mac-compatible, and it shows up in System Profiler. I can play it (Quake Live) normally, but the touchpad is not optimal and I'd like to try my luck with a joystick. I looked around, and it seems that joysticks are not natively supported in Quake Live. On a PC, this would be no problem. I'd download a program like Joystick 2 Mouse and remap the joystick's buttons and axes to keyboard buttons and mouse movements. However, after much Googling, I can't find a free program that will do this. I'm running OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard), if it makes a difference. I'm pretty new to the Mac, so, for all I know, the function's already built in. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Joseph
