Deleted Orphaned Preferences and Other Files

Under Classic there were a couple of apps that would seek out and list orphaned preferences and other files from other applications that had been deleted from the computer. There are some UNINSTALLER apps for Leopard, but I can't seem to find any that will list orphaned files for deletion. What I want to do is get rid of orphaned files from apps that I probably hand-deleted some time ago.

Anyone know of a solution?

are contained in one folder and are easy to get rid of.
However, without the aid of an uninstall feature, that leaves a bunch of Preference files behind. These are easy to find, Library > Preferences, and take up virtually no space.

A couple of apps come to mind:
AppZapper and Uninstaller.

Spring Cleaning is another one but I still do not trust it. I remember making numerous housecalls, and collecting a considerable amount of money, repairing the damage done by an earlier version of this program.
