ascII symbol for cents

I have used all kinds of Combinations. The one that is supposed towork ALT+162 doesn't do it what is the right one for the cents symbol???

Windows comes with a built in help for this question.
- Start / run / charmap / OK (or make a shortcut to it)
- Select Arial font (or any standard font)
- Find cent symbol and click on it
- Read Windows code (which differs from DOS-code!) in the lower right corner.

It's not only a help, it's a typing tool also. After clicking, it appears in the top right box, from which you can copy it to the clipboard.

No need to learn these characters by head, except for the most current.
