Windows 7 64 bit, IE 9 freezing

I recently was infected with the Cryptolocker virus. I am running Malwarebytes Pro as well as another anti virus but still got it. Could not get rid of the virus so did a factory reset on my Acer computer. I have Malwarebytes backup offsite and was able to get all my files back. Reinstalled everything as I had the keys etc. but it was a long process. Since the reset, I've had major problems with the computer freezing, and it only will reset with a hard reboot. I can use it for a minute or two, but when I leave it idle is freezes, and I can't do anything. I also have Chrome installed on a separate tab, and that one also freezes. I have disabled all add ons so it's not that except for AdBlocker plus. I never had trouble with ads before but now I do. I tried installing IE10 and 11 but made the problem worse. I tried to do a System Restore but it won't go back to a time previous to the freezing problems. I have been running anti malware and anti virus several times a time as I'm completely paranoid now, as well as running Hit Man Pro. I'm about ready to start again from scratch but it was so time consuming I'm hoping to not have to do that again. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
