Backup? I don't need it on my Chromebook.

The discussion at http://forums.cnet.com/7723-6122_102-613171/what-s-your-reason-for-not-backing-up-your-computer-data/ really is lively.
Our office a few weeks ago decided to try out a few Chromebooks and since we have more than one I can report that so far so good. No backup so far and yes to all those questions about what happens when there is no Google.
http://www.zdnet.com/chromebooks-and-students-long-term-trouble-for-microsoft-7000026646/ echoes some of our thoughts but for those that want to get on the net, write and more, this looks far better than I first imagined.
I was taken by surprise how many apps there are and by the breadth of the coverage on apps. Video editing is there too.
Price? We found a few refurbs for 160 bucks. Boots in seconds (single digits), power for the whole day and more.
BACKUP? I close the lid on one Chromebook, open it on the next and my stuff is there.
