CASSETTE-LP TO CD:

Use MusicMatch Jukebox to create digital audio from your vinyl and cassettes..(click the link to the site to see the versions available, including the Basic which is normally free but with limitations and the Plus version for $20 with lots more options). I actually use CoolEdit, but there are many other programs out and some are free so play around with a few of them to find the one you like best.

You can use MusicMatch Jukebox to record from any device connected to your line-in or mic-in inputs on your sound card. First, be sure that the device is connected to your sound card properly.

Specify Recording Source.
Open your Recorder screen by clicking the button. From Options > Recorder > Source, you can specify CD-ROM (audio CD), line-in (album or cassette), mic-in (microphone), or external mixer (more than one input).

If you select your CD-ROM, have an audio (or cdr/cdrw) CD in the drive, and are connected to the Internet, CDDB will attempt to fill in all track titles, etc. If you select any of the other options, you will see that only one track is listed in the recording queue. Where the track title would normally be listed, are the instructions "Edit track name here before beginning". Click on and highlight this text and type in the desired title. To start recording, press the play button, to stop, press the stop button.

Connecting a Line-in Device.
To connect a record player or cassette player to your PC you need to take the audio output of the desired device and connect it to your line-in input on your soundcard.

Some devices do not have audio output and cannot be used to send audio to a computer. These devices usually contain built in speakers. If you are not certain whether a device supports audio output please consult the user manual.

To connect a device to your PC, you need the necessary cable (Left and Right RCA to 1/8 inch stereo RCA). You can purchase it from any electronics store or directly from the MusicMatch web site. The cable can also be used to connect your PC to your home stereo.
