WinCE 6.0 Question.

I was gifted a mini netbook which won't boot. Out of curiosity, I'd like to get it running. When powered on a screen comes up which says wireless netbook.

After that nothing happens. I've tried the reset battery out etc nothing.
Specs.
Allfine Mini Netbook.
Os WinCE 6.0.
CPU WM8505 533mHz ARM926EJ-S
DDR2 SDRAM 128MB up to 667MHz
Nand Flash 2GB.

I know nothing about WinCE so,
Any tips to try?
Can the OS be reinstalled and if so how?
How difficult?

Any tips to try? - Look for any reset button, hole, etc.
Can the OS be reinstalled and if so how? - Not by you.
How difficult? - To do what?

Let me be frank here. Sell it and get any current android tablet for 99 bucks. I'm sure someone on ebay wants that.

There were some of those that folk HACKED to run Android. But to do that is pretty specific to the model. Use google and put in that make and model and add some words like INSTALL ANDROID.

If you get Android on it, it will be more useful. Let me share I maintain Windows Mobile apps (WinCE is just a name of the same OS family so let's not debate WM, WinMo, WinCE arcana.)

Thanks for that Bob. I did think of Android but on the box it said no other OS can be installed so this put me off. I Googled your suggestion and found this video http://computerszine.com/android-os-on-an-epc-mini-laptop-notebook The machine in it is an EPC but is identical to mine.

I'm going to give it a whirl ( nothing to lose ) will let you know.
