My phone won't pick up my wifi.

I recently moved and what a pain..my phone will not connect to my home wifi..using the same router and my sons computer hooked up immediately.I thought the address may be different so I told my phone to forget the old router name ..it comes up but says it's weak or broken even though it is a strong signal..any ideas??

What WiFi channel is the router on?

Seems some detail is needed but even with that detail I will refer to a page in the router manual.

I just ordered a new router..figure mine is old and maybe a new start is needed here..plus no more 8 bucks a month to comcast..thanks!!
