new pc. should i have anti-viris & anit-malware together

I jus bought a new laptop, HP Pavilion g7 with windows 8. It came with Norton already on it, so that's what I'm using for now. and I have the free version of advanced systems care. I wanted to know if I should do more, like mbam anti-malware or something like that.
I was worried about installing to many programs like that, cuz I don't know if those programs will have conflicts with each other or what.
Any help is much appreciated thanx..

Malwarebytes is a great program

and I have the paid version with real time protection. You should only have 1 anti-virus program.

is it ok to have malewarebytes and Norton. or just one of them, will they conflict with each other.
