Need Help! Custom Built Computer.

So I bought my computer parts from TigerDirect.com and I started to put it all together, when I finally finished and everything was in place, when I would press the power button it would turn on for a split second and just shut off. I have rechecked all the parts to make sure they were not loose or anything, and everything else was fine.
PC Specs:
Thermaltake V3 Black Edition Mid Tower Case
Thermaltake TR2 600w PSU
MSI H61M-E33/W8 Motherboard
XFX GeForce GT N630 2Gb Memory
Intel Pentium Processor, Dual Core G860

Did you test it OUTSIDE the case to see if it's working

before mounting in the case ?????

You should ALWAYS bench test a new MB before mounting it inside the case....makes further testing and troubleshooting much easier not to mention avoiding installation and removal of a dead MB or PSU.

The above post is spot on. Just insert memory, CPU (& CPU cooler) onto mobo. Put mobo preferably on the antistatic bag that the mobo was shipped in. Connect PSU & monitor & keyboard. Then short 2 pins with a screwdriver where the on-switch would be connected to for a second. It should power up & using keyboard you can get into BIOS and change a few of its settings there if you wish.
