How do I xfer outlook Express saved mail to new computer?

I am finally retiring my 9 year old computer running XP, which has served me well, and going to a new computer running Windows 7. I have a folder of saved mail in Outlook Express on the XP computer and I need to transfer it over to the new computer. Since the new computer runs Windows 7, and no longer has Outlook Express as the email client, how do I do this? The only way I could think of was to forward each and every email in the folder to myself and then download all the mail into the new computer. This is very time consuming, and I'm sure someone out there can come up with a better solution. Any help I can get will be greatly appreciated!!

When I was faced with that situation I
a) installed Thunderbird (a free open-source e-mail client from Mozilla) on my Windows 7 PC
b) copied my OE archive folder (the folder what all the .dbx files) to a USB-stick
c) imported the OE archive from that USB-stick to Thunderbird
d) used Thunderbird from then on

I am having the same problem but i don't know how to import OE archive so will you please tell me how can i do this?

The very first google hit for THUNDERBIRD IMPORT OUTLOOK EXPRESS is http://kb.mozillazine.org/Import_from_Outlook_Express
That seems a good start. If not good enough, goolge will find you more.
