Backup Mac Time Machine to Windows 7 Partition.

Okay, so I've been reading up on tons of articles and tutorials on how to set this all up, and (just as it is with my luck), nothing has worked.

I've created a partition on my Windows 7 PC, and named it M (Rather than C or E). I tried sharing it over my home network and accessing it from my MacBook, but it says;

"The operation can't be completed because the original item for "M" can't be found."

Could anyone walk me through how to access this partition from my MacBook, AND use it as Time Machine's backup drive?

Bearing in mind I'm not all that tech savvy, and somehow everything likes to go wrong with me. Especially Terminal. So please be specific!

...wrong or the Netgear router update has been incorrectly applied.. Although I'm not using a MAC here, please see the discussion in the link below.. " digital260' and a few other posters there seem to have some suggestions..
