CPU: Intell Core i7 processor, i7-960 LGA 1366
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth X58
When I first booted it up after putting my system together, it informed me there was a new CPU installed, and asked if I wanted to enter BIOS to input settings or load defaults and continue. Being as the only instructions that came with the CPU were how to install it to the motherboard and then a bunch of warnings and warrantee information in about 80 languages, I hit F2 to load the defaults.
The system runs fine as far as I can tell, and I don't want to overclock it. Is it okay if I leave the BIOS settings at defaults? If not, is there somewhere online where I can find all the necessary info to make sure the CPU is running on the right settings? I know how to access BIOS, I just don't much like playing around in it cuz I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to fine-tuning CPU settings.
Thanks ahead of time for any information, my computer building skills were mostly Pentium II era and earlier before I started this project. Talk about a crash course in modern technology. O.o;;
