Computers boots, then stalls

I can't figure this one out. Computer was working fine a few days ago, tried to plug in a head set that normally worked but wouldn't this time. Uninstalled its drivers to reboot, goes through POST fine, everything turns on good. Goes through the typical loading screen but then gets stuck at this.

<span>The bars are usually there but all the little colored pixels normally aren't and the system wont boot up past it. I've tried a different Vid Card, reset all of the Ram, even tried the little resetting the BIOS trick. Nada. Still stuck at that picture. Sometimes even the computer now will not fully boot up, just shut down twice then boot to that screen. Even tried booting from a last known good config, and safe mode. No dice.

Start up repair decided to run and somehow fixed it. I guess my HHD is near bricking.
