Removed Java through Add/Remove program. Find that there are numerous residual applications/files related to Java. How do I remove them. Deleting not being allowed.

How would we remove them if we can't delete them?
Is this your requirement or something you didn't know how to delete?
A few tools I use to delete the undeleteable.
1. Boot to safe mode (google and more answer how.)
2. UNLOCKED (add the word Windows to find it)
3. Power tool time. Go get Ubuntu or some small Linux CD (no install required) boot that and delete what you want gone.
4. REVO UNINSTALLER. Add the word FREE on google to find it.

Thank you.
To clarify: What I removed were the downloaded Java programs found in Add/Remove setting of the computer.
Subsequently, when I entered "Java" in search a list of files came up. Some are Javascrips which. I understand, are required for other applications. Do I need to keep the rest or safely delete them. My knowledge is limited.
Shall try your suggestions.

You are going to find a lot of files. But it would be unwise to delete them. I guess you could backup your PC then blow them away with the tools I noted them see if the machine is OK.

from Java with Revo using it's advanced settings, deleting everything with no noticeable repercussions . Digger

I think you wanted to reply to the OP (original poster.) My reply is more about what happens if you delete what you found with that search.
