Is my built-in soundcard a good or should I buy another?

I have a computer with an Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
motherboard. Is the built-in soundcard a good one? I recently bought "Dragon Naturally Speaking," a speech recognition program. I get a message often saying that my audio is not optimized. I check everything and I have everything plugged in right, and the microphone that came with the program in the right position.
I am thinking that maybe if I got another soundcard ans used it instead of the one that is on my motherboard, that I would get better results and no more frequent messages that tell me that my audio is not optimized.
What do you think???

hi billie90,

Who or what is saying 'audio is not optimized'? Is it Windows or is it Dragon Naturally Speaking that says this?

The message above is not really considered to be an error message as such, but more as like an informational one.

IF it is Dragon Naturally Speaking that is telling you this, it could be that the steps one takes to have a speaker recognized and put into the program database needs to be run once again, OR, that you need to see if your onboard sound card is compatible with your version of Dragon Naturally Speaking program.

To check for compatibility, see the System requirements section of your program.

Thanks. It is Dragon that is giving me the message. I like the program. It works well for me.It is not perfect although I think it could be better.
I will try the steps that you suggested.
