Can't get filmstrip view in all my folders.

None of my folders in the first level after "My Documents" has the filmstrip view, except "My Pictures". If I go to the next level of subfolders, some of them have filmstrip view, but some don't. If a folder does not have filmstrip view and I move it one level down, then it will have filmstrip view. How do I get all my folders to have the filmstrip view?

You neglected to mention what version of Windows you're using. Details for solution require that info.

"If you select Use Windows classic folders in the Folder Options dialog box, Filmstrip is no longer available on the View menu in folders that contain pictures."

I have filmstrip view sometimes

Some folders have filmstrip view and some don't. So I think that it should work in all of them.

I did not have classic folders selected in the Folder Options dialog box. So I am back where I started. Why do some of my folders have filmstrip view? And why don't the others?

That's why I supplied the link. I double checked here and sure enough, the article is correct but I fear many PC users will not like the answer Microsoft gave.
