Server issue

Hi,

I'm in a small office running a series of networked computers through one server. We're having recurring email and shared drive connectivity issues, though internet appears mostly unaffected.

I read about 'Pinging' the server to see if there is a connectivity issue and got a 100% loss rate.

So question 1 - is there anything else I can do to check the server connectivity and
Question 2 - what can we do to resolve this?

You can start by giving some details about the network topology, the server, what exactly happens, and what you've done to try and resolve it besides test for connectivity via ping. Much like the red "Please read before posting" section that says:

You call the person who set it all up and ask for support.

Some small companies fire or don't deal with the person who set it up and need to make peace with them.
