Hi All

Why does our wireless router loose our computers setting all the time?

I have to plug in our laptop to our router, log into our router and then re-configure our computer.

I've never needed to configure a computer in a router. It just works with every wireless device that uses the WPA2 security key, be it a laptop, an iPod Touch or a smartphone.

So can you tell what you mean? What setting in the router is lost? And when is "all the time"? Every minute? Or only after every power outage?

Thank you for your response.

I realized now what my mistake is, when our service provider drops our wireless router, instead of me just turn our wireless router on and off to pick up a signal again, I have been pushing the reset button at the bottom of our router, wiping out the settings on the router which then has resulted in me having to connect my laptop via cable to our router and set up our router again(configure our router).

Nowadays , many people want to buy huawei e589. Why HUAWEI E589 become more and more popular ?I do not know , if it has some features that others routers do not have , or it just only like a Iphone 4?
