Disabling Avast Boot up Scan?

After avast found a problem on my computer, it removed it and after restarting it initiated a boot up scan. Now, every time I turn on the computer it does this. I have to hit esc to get it to stop. I wrote Avast who gave me this really complicated way of removing the software entirely. I even looked on these forums and never did see an actual solution to the problem. This has to be an easier way to do this. I have windows 7.

If I open the Avast user interface I see this option called "boot-time scan".

If I was to open that and saw that it was scheduled I might just unschedule it.

Thank you for responding.
I don't see this option. Where exactly is it? I do see an option "Enable raw disk access during a boot-time scan" which refers to what you will allow during the scan, but I can't find just unschedule boot scan. I also have not set anything up to be scheduled. I manually scan. Any assistance appreciated.

Right click the Avast orb.
Open the Avast user interface.
Left click Scan computer.

I see boot-time scan.
