Wireless network Error Cannot connect to Profile.

On my Dell Inspiron 6400, Win XP laptop, I have Intel PRO/Set Wireless managing my wireless connection. However, windows wireless driver also tries to manage the wireless connection from time to time thus knocking the wirless connection down. The only solution so far has been to restart my computer. But I have to do this 4-5 times in a matter of half an hour. Each time it boots back, the wireless connection works with Intel PRO/Set and then it stops working and gives me an error "Cannot connect to Profile."

Can You Disable It In "Device Manager"?

Seems a little strange that you've got two different wireless device drivers on the computer...but if there are two separate devices for your wireless "Network Adapter" in Device Manager, try opening the properties on the Windows wireless driver, then disable it at the bottom of the screen.. That should allow the other wireless drive to have control.

Intel proset

Yeah Grif I think you are right, the proset is an add on and he should be able to bypass it.

Could not disable ProSet

Thanks for your tips but they didn't seem to work. Under "Device Manage>Network Adapter" I have 3 choices:
1394 Net Adapter
Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller
Intel (R) Pro/Wireless Network Controller

So I disabled "Intel (R) Pro/Wireless Network Controller" and it disabled my entire wireless connection. So I had to enable it back.
The exact error I am getting when I lose my wireless connection and try to connect back is "Problem Applying Profile".
