Netflix, Hulu, Facebook, and Other Websites Not Loading

I'm posting this for my sister, who is having this problem:

"I'm having problems on my Dell Inspiron. All of a sudden, I am having numerous problems connecting to various websites. First, Netflix had issues in that it was not loading random movie images on the home page. Then, Hulu would not load at all. Now, various other websites are not loading and the profile pictures on Facebook are not loading. I have tried various browsers, clearing my cache, running my antivirus software, etc. I also reset my modem and router. Is this an ISP problem?"

If it helps, she said it happened after she updated her Flash, which she tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Strangely enough, she had this same problem a few months ago on a different computer (also a Windows machine). I believe her web browser is Google Chrome, but I didn't get a chance to ask her if the same thing was happening with other Internet browsers.

A few corrections, my apologies:

- As stated in her original quote, which I misread, she did try other browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome, I believe), and the same thing happened on all of them
- It was Adobe Reader that she had just updated, not Flash
- She tried uninstalling Adobe Reader, but now her computer won't let her reinstall it
- She can't remember what caused the same problem the last time it happened

Then Try Reinstalling Flash

First, uninstall Flash by using the Flash Uninstaller at the link below..
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157

After that's done, then download the appropriate manual Flash player installer from the link below. If running two browsers, you may need both installers.

Flash Player for IE 32& 64 bit:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_ax.exe

Flash Player for Non-IE browser (Opera, Firefox etc):
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe
