Computer won't start after trying to install 2nd HD

Gateway DX4350
Win 7
AMD IIx6
6 GB Ram
1.5 TB HD
Installed 2nd 1 TB HD and computer wouldn't boot.
Removed the second drive and still will not boot also keyboard and mouse, both USB, have no power.
All the fans spin up. So not a total loss of power.
Disconnected all external devices and still nothing.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883113175 shows a model with a paltry 300 Watt PSU so unless you disturbed some connection while you were inside I'm going with it's PSU may not be up to adding anything.

Check all connections and try again. Use a Volt Meter on the PSU to see if it's up.

Yes ,I have 300 Watt PSU

checked the HD voltages at a spare in-line MOLEX connection
With the HD in place and connected as well as DVD Drive Connected.

Red - 5.05v / Yellow -12.04v / and Orange wire at the MOBO connector. 3.4v



Also unpluged the power to the DVD drive to see if that made a difference by reducing load. Still Didn't boot

Checked all connections, data and power , all seemed ok .

Any chance with the voltages looking ok it still is PSU? Can get a 450Watt PSU for $50. which I probably will anyway.

Oops just noticed I used a - as as a seperator ... the voltages were all positive (+)

Next up is the CMOS battery voltage and then the other PSU rail. If they are as spot on as the ones you supplied I'd look elsewhere.

Did you try that generic reset? Unplug the AC, press and hold the power button for 60 seconds and try again?
