Computer help forum: NEED HELP ASAP Graphics Card

So, I think he does have dual monitors. What do you mean by FPS games? I'm going to ask him if he is doing this as I know he does like to play games. I really want his computer to last him until he gets out of school - or starts earning some money to buy a new one on his own. But, since he has about three years left, and his computer is about 2 years old, I'm not too hopeful. So, anything he can do to prolong it's life would be great.

PS...NVidia is a chip manufacturer and they manufacture the chips and make them available to other companies who actually put the GPU processors and other chips on the PCB for marketing and sale. NVidia (and ATI/AMD) make the GPUs for these video cards too.

Thanks again for all your help. I guess my son actually has triple monitors but he said he never plays more than one game at a time. He installed the EVGA card last night and so far, so good. I just hope it holds up. I know when he built this computer, he bought a case that has all kind of fans to help move air through and keep it cool and he is diligent about cleaning out the dust regularly.
