F11 all deleted ~ can i recover my photos

I bought a new Medion from my computer guy. He had "cut and pasted" thousands of photographs and documents from my old hard drive and saved them on my new computer. The first day when i switched it on it said press F11 for recovery. Foolishly I did and subsequently lost 6 years of photos (6 yrs of my life!) I went back to my computer guy who said that nothing can be done ~ he still has the old hard drive but says that because he cut and pasted the photos from this to the new computer that they cannot be retrieved. I feel as if i have lost a loved one!

As long as that's all he did and he didn't re-use the drive in another PC it's pretty safe to say that drivesavers.com is your best hope.

Just wondering. Why no backups?

maybe you can try some 3rd party data recovery software/. recover your lost data from your old hard drive.
